Prabir Haldar

Design Advisor and Head of Sustainability

Prabir Haldar, a Responsible Architect, transitioned from technical proficiency to a profound sense of responsibility. His educational foundation was laid at the School of Planning & Architecture in 1990. During this formative period, he collaborated with renowned architects such as Romi Khosla and Sharat Das. Simultaneously, Prabir engaged in teaching graduate students at a professional architecture institution, embarking on a transformative journey. Gradually, he transitioned from a technically proficient professional to an architect with a profound sense of responsibility.

For Prabir, “responsibility” extends beyond design challenges; it encompasses the environmental costs we bear as well. His portfolio includes diverse consulting and execution projects, spanning posh residences, institutions, corporate interiors, and luxury jungle camps. Prabir’s focus lies in creating spaces that cater to both physical and mental well-being, optimizing for comfort, wellness, and energy efficiency. His priorities revolve around passive design, thoughtful material choices to minimize toxicity, and delightful spaces that enhance enjoyment while also realizing a balance between comfort, economics, and environmental responsibility.

His vision is to create designs with a futuristic mindset yet retaining traditional grandeur seamlessly harmonizing with human needs and the environment. His architectural journey serves as a bridge, connecting sustainability with creature comforts, ensuring quality spaces that prioritize unseen occupant health while considering operational costs.
